Lera Nibiru is a multidisciplinary artist. She works in various fields of art and tries to express her ideas in many ways and connect them into a single fabric of her own created world.
Continuing a tradition of moscow conceptualism and leningrad avant-garde, she creates total installations, objects, murales, graphics, films, animation, mapping, VR worlds, novels, music. Her interests are phenomenon of edges, transformations, extatic conditions, cosmogonic theories and chide discourse.
Lera has collaborated on many gallery and museum projects in different countries, cooperated with galleries such as Marina Gisich gallery (St. Petersburg), Iragui gallery (Moscow) and others, participated in exhibitions of the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg, the Pushkin Museum in Moscow, Georges Pompidou's Center in Paris and others.
Lera Nibiru's book "Journey to the Otherworld of Dreams" was published by ArtLeda.
Nibiru was nominated on Kandinsky-prize twice (2008, 2010), on Sergey Kuryokhin Award 2022, on «Digital Opera» multimedia and scenography festival and contest twice (2020, 2021) and received a Grand prix on «Digital Opera - 2021».
Her works are in collections: Collection Florence & Daniel Guerlain fund, Paris; Georges Pompidou's Center, Paris; Museum of St.Petersburg Art XX – XXI, St.Petersburg; Sigmund Freud dreams museum, St.Petersburg. Vladimir Smirnov and Konstantin Sorokin's fund, Moscow; and many private collections.
